About Research & Development Cell (R & D):
In an era increasingly driven by technology, university-based research forms the backbone of a
nation's economic and technological advancement. At Durga Soren University, we are deeply
committed to fostering basic and long-term research in frontier areas of knowledge.
Our Research & Development (R&D) Cell is a vital component of the University's academic
framework. It functions as a dedicated wing that facilitates, coordinates, documents, and oversees
all academic research, sponsored projects, collaborative initiatives, and consultancy activities
within the University.
The R&D Cell plays a pivotal role in nurturing a vibrant research culture among faculty and students
alike. Our overarching goal is to cultivate a dynamic and creative environment where higher studies
and cutting-edge research can flourish—while actively promoting meaningful interaction between
the University and industry.
- To cultivate a spirit of research and innovation among students and faculty members by
creating a supportive and inspiring environment.
- To establish Centers of Excellence in niche areas of research, promoting specialization and
advanced study.
- To align research initiatives with industrial needs , leading to the development of new or
improved products, processes, systems, or services that enhance productivity and
competitiveness.
- To foster collaborative partnerships that bring mutual benefits and strengthen industry-
academia connectivity.
- To establish national and international collaborations with universities, public and private
sector organizations, and to identify R&D and consultancy projects that can be undertaken
at the University.
- To promote and support research activities across all departments, encouraging
interdisciplinary and impactful studies.
- To ensure the efficient functioning and effective management of all R&D activities within
the University.
Action plan for Achieving outcomes:
- Monitoring & guiding faculty to obtain research-grant from various funding agencies wiz.
DST/UGC/ICAR/CSIR etc.
- Formulate policies for encouragement of R & D culture in the University.
- Liasioning with R &D organization/ University & establish MOU with them.
- Guidance & support to faculty/students for getting quality publications and patents.
- R&D cellin support by department Heads & department coordinators.
- Active research groups in all departments & organization various research promotion activities
through research groups.
- Organizations of expert sessions on projects selection & execution, writing proposals, writing
research papers and drafting patents.
