ENTREPRENEURSHIP CELL
The economic growth and development of any nation depend largely on the entrepreneurs who are willing to start new businesses thus creating jobs, and contribute to improvement in various key aspects such as GDP, exports, the standard of living, skills development and community development. Keeping all these economy driving factors at the forefront, Govt. of India has laid stress upon the importance of entrepreneurship and has introduced many flagship schemes like "Make in India" & "Start-up India"
With the aim of contributing and strengthening the economic prowess of India and introducing the concept of “Job Providers rather than Seekers”, the Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) was started at Durga Soren University, to hone the entrepreneurial set of skills in the budding professionals.
Vision
To be a major player in the National saga of Growth and Development by encouraging youth to become entrepreneurs who will contribute to the development in terms of economic & developed rather than developing nation.
Mission
- Incorporating an intellection which can be created into reality for the benefit of mankind.
- Providing support to all the novel ideas by way of finances as well as industry-based exposure.
- Creating an entrepreneur with the concept of nation and society before self so that the needs of the society can be considerately met.
Objectives
- The entrepreneur is imparted the necessary knowledge and skills required for materializing a conceptual idea into a business venture.
- EDC also teaches about various pitfalls and success mantras for organizing and carrying out entrepreneurial activities.
- The entrepreneurs are made to understand, manage and overcome various risk factors involved in entrepreneurship.
- To make the entrepreneurs understand their role in contributing towards building a progressive and developed nation.
